Happy Halloween!

This is my fourth year celebrating Halloween with Kelland. Here's our costume lineup-
1st year: We were just dating and I dressed up in crazy orange and black attire.
2nd year: We were Uncle Sam and the Statue of Liberty. This costume was especially great because it was a Presidential election year. People really liked our costumes!
3rd year: We were the couple from Grease and dressed in 50's attire.

This year, we've added one more person to our group - making matching costumes a little more complicated.

I finally finished our family's Halloween costumes this year! Don't look too close - they are pretty simple, but I'm so relieved to have matching family costumes that I don't even care! Next year, I am not going to procrastinate!

Announcing: The Flintstones!

Check out our cute little Pebbles!

Ah - could my life get any better? Great daughter, great husband, great place to live and lots of room for me to grow! Happy Halloween!

Claire - I took you Trick-or- Treating for the first time... and you only last about 15 minutes. It started raining and it was windy and cold. As I held you walking around you kept whimpering until I gave up and took you home - little diva :)
Today we attending yet another family Halloween party. Dressing up was optional, but if you know us, we are all about dressing up for Halloween. We're theater people - playing "dress up" when we were kids never got old. I still hadn't finished our Halloween costumes yet.... I so decided that we were going to go more casual to the party. All by himself Kelland dressed Claire up. He found a pink jogging suit that someone had given us and made her "boxing gloves" out of mittens we had bought her for the winter. See - no matter what he says, he loves dressing up just as much as I do!

Kelland added the "Everlast" logo to her mittens

I pulled cat ears out of the costume box and added some last minute whiskers.
Kelland wore his own boxing gloves and I gave him a black eye. Well, actually the idea was that Claire had given him the black eye...

Please acknowledge Kelland's cheesy grin - he's just a little excited about Halloween.

Big Girl Poop

Claire, I just wanted to official document the day that you had your first big-girl poop. Now that we have started feeding you solids, your diapers are different. When dad went to change you he said, "Whew! It stinks! It smells like a real poop!" So - congrats on growing up and becoming a little more stinky and aware of your body everyday :)

Livin' the College Life!

Claire, you do so great when we take you to college with us! We take turns watching you while the other one is in class and we pass you back and forth all day! You love the attention and you're such a happy little girl towards all the other students that stop to say hi.

We like to spend a lot of our time in the non-traditional student center - and the people there just love you! They don't know our names, but everyday they ask, "Claire, how are you today?"

You love the massage chairs in the non-trad center! Way better than any bouncer!

First Up-Do

Claire, you were born with a full head of hair.... that still doesn't cover your whole head. You have this adorable long patch of hair right down the middle and you are practically bald on both sides. Today, dad and I attempted to give you pigtails with your long hair in the middle!

Look how adorable you are! At first I didn't like the pigtail look on you yet, but it's definitely growing on me!

St. George

We went on a family vacation with the Davis Family to St. George and stayed in a condo for the weekend. You did really well considering you were constantly surrounded by noise and people!

I was able to capture this moment on camera: The first time you have put your toes in your mouth, though I'm sure it won't be the last!

We went to an animal museum while we were there with Grandma Valerie and the other grandkids

Look at our little princess who is 6 months old!

Conference!

We had the opportunity to attend Stake Conference at the Ogden Tabernacle

Look how big you're getting - I can hardly believe it!

A Day in the life...

Family outing at the Temple Square:

Shoes

We were at the mall looking for new shoes for mom at Payless when a worker asked if we would like our feet measured. I thought, "Why not." Before I knew it, she had some tool out and was measuring your feet. Caught me a little off guard - I just assumed we'd buy you shoes when you actually needed them. However, look how happy you are at the thought of getting shoes:

Girlie-Girl!

Claire, even though you are way too little to care, you had your toe nails painted when you were only 4 months old and they were so cute! People would smile and comment on your pretty little feet in the grocery store and at family parties - you're already getting everyone's attention!

Party Animals!

Our family went to the zoo over Memorial Day weekend. You liked the zoo much better this time Claire - you actually looked at the animals and all the people. We had a good time taking you!

Yep - you're in this picture, I'm feeding you on a secluded bench.

Check out the bats all sleeping in a clump! You look like you're not too sure how you feel about them...

Oh how we love our little family!
